Learn to Make Sushi
How simple is this?
Making your own homemade sushi or spring rolls, easy.
After buying this kit on Amazon, along with the kelp papers and the rice, and rice vinegar, I was ready to roll! ROLL SUSHI that is!
I sliced vegetables from the garden into some very small strips;
I laid out some crab meat and shrimp to add protein and variety;
I tried to go for a blend of colors in my first batch;
And, I prepared the rice according to on-line sushi rice directions.
A "Sushiquick" set is a perfect gift for someone who loves eating sushi and likes learning new techniques. After cooking the sushi rice, and seasoning it with the rice vinegar, I started the rolling process according to the directions in the box.
I was able to,serve them up as soon as they had their picture taken, and before I could begin making my second batch, my first roll of sushi ever had disappeared. My husband insisted it tastes just like at a sushi bar. The knife in the kit is very sharp and works best if you dip it in water before cutting the roll. The slicing guide is great because you can end up with all of the pieces a standard size, Locke the professionals. It's fun to roll the kelp papers inside the sushi and have spring rolls, this gives the rolled rice a nice finished look without the dark green outer layer, yet still has the kelp flavor.
After slicing and displaying on my handcrafted sushi dish, we simply added soy sauce to the tiny bowl and had a genuine home made treat.B008YWRTB4

I viewed a few videos on YouTube about sushi making techniques before starting my experiment. They were very informative. Here are a few I found.
